The importance of finding gear that fits can not be emphasized enough.  Your clothing should be comfortable, fit for purpose and let you feel relatively comfortable as well as protecting you from the sun, keep you warm when its cold and cool when its hot.  Your footwear should support and cradle your feet.  But the same should also apply for your sleeping bag and mat, as a good nights sleep will make an overnight hike feel like a gentle stroll.  And we'll make sure your trail runners and gaiters fit too.

Are you a hot or cold sleeper?

Its important to consider how warm you want to be when you sleep.  If you'd normally have an electric blanket, flannel sheets and PJ's then you want a warmer sleeping combination.  Sleeping bags have a rating with a Comfort level which indicates the temperature a women sleeping flat will not feel cols and a Limit level which indicates the temperature a man will sleep comfortably.

Treat your feet

The importance of purchasing a comfortable pair of boots can not be emphasised enough.  We are here to match the best pair of boots to your narrow, wide, high instep, narrow heel high or low arched foot.  We will also make sure your heels are cradled, your arches supported and your toes have lots of room - no one wants to lose a toenail.
